INTRODUCTION

Franchise Legal is a business law firm which advises franchisors and franchisees. We only engage lawyers who have significant commercial experience in franchising and are therefore able to offer our clients a practical understanding of their every day business challenge

THE CHALLENGE

The lawyer-client relationship is personal and long-term. As a start-up law firm with no clients, our challenge was finding them, finding them fast, on a tiny marketing budget.

THE SOLUTION

We knew that convincing established franchisors to switch firms would take time, time that we didn’t have, so we decided to focus only on new entrants into the market – prospective franchisors and franchisees. Our approach allowed us to send a clear message to the market about our unique offer and, with the help of SEO and PPC marketing techniques, we were able to attract the clients we needed to achieve “critical mass” within a fairly short time-frame.

THE BUSINESS BENEFITS

Having established successful on-going relationships with franchise clients, we were able to start looking at other avenues of growth. In particular, we have entered into exclusive franchising arrangements with like-minded law firms in other states to operate Franchise Legal offices nationally. We franchised our franchise law firm!

FURTHER INFORMATION

Optus has been a great technology partner for Franchise Legal. From the start, cashflow was crucial and being able to effectively finance most of the firm’s telecommunication and hardware needs allowed us to spend the initial capital to grow the firm.
